A BILL to amend and reenact section three, article one, chapter twenty of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, relating to continuance of the division of natural resources.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That section three, article one, chapter twenty of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be amended and reenacted to read as follows:
ARTICLE 1. ORGANIZATION AND ADMINISTRATION.

§20-1-3. Division of natural resources, office of director and commission established; termination date.

A division of natural resources, the office of director of the division of natural resources, and a natural resources commission are hereby created and established in the state government with jurisdiction, powers, functions, services and enforcement processes as provided in this chapter and elsewhere by law.
Pursuant to the provisions of article ten, chapter four of this code, the division of natural resources shall continue to exist until the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred ninety-four ninety-five, to allow for the completion of an audit by the joint committee on government operations.



NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to continue the Division of Natural Resources until July 1, 1995, to allow for the completion of a performance audit by the Joint Committee on Government Operations.
